Had a fantastic group yesterday take on a similar course to the week prior, but this time we had a different ending and motive for each of the three segments.
we had a short little warm up where we ramped in each zone to rip the bandage off before heading to take on the 2min titans grove qom/kom reverse.
that was a good wake up call…
next we took on the sprint as a second chance to get a max effort and practiced visualization of the effort to help it make our effort faster and more concise.
lastly and the main goal of today was the volcano climb…. 9min effort. The goal was to get to the top as fast as possible and be as consistent as possible to then settle into an endurance pace right after for a min.
released the dragons!… and chickens (as Da Shorty said 🤣)
the goal today was not to test ourselves at each segment but to simply tax the glycolytic system two times before the last and longer effort of the day. This trains the body to work to become efficient after each effort in recovering for the next. It pushes the bodys limits and trains the body to become stronger.
next week we will be taking on a longer climb to test our ability to sustain. Stay tuned!
